About This Artwork
This is part of my series titled INDIA ON CANVAS, a travelogue from my visits across the country, caught in canvas instead of words. This is inspired by the Lakes of the Nainital district.
About the Artist
Anukta Mukherjee Ghosh
Anukta Mukherjee Ghosh is a Kolkata-based visual artist whose contemporary realist works distill the textures, colours, and moods of everyday India. Her subjects reflect India’s diversity—urban and rural, familiar and fleeting—exploring the interplay of line, form, and colour with a sensitivity that keeps the familiar alive and surprising. Acrylic and oil remain her anchors, though she moves fluidly across mediums. Over a decade into a corporate career, she shifted course, earning a Diploma with distinction from the London Art College. Since then, her works have found homes in private and institutional collections across India, the US, UK, Dubai, Germany, the Netherlands, and NewZealand. Notable commissions include creations for ITC Hotels and a series in London for Speciality Restaurants.
