A monumental and deeply immersive masterwork by contemporary painter Naresh Babulal Soni, representing the apex of his technical exploration into raw materiality and frozen motion. "The Silent Genesis" serves as an expansive window into elemental transformation and biological poetry. The canvas acts as a live reactive site where opposing oil and water-based mediums were allowed to collide over several days, resisting and blending with one another until settling into a state of kinetic equilibrium. To ground this atmospheric, nebula-like expanse, Soni physically embedded unrefined, authentic street soil gathered from the thoroughfares of Ahmedabad directly into the wet pigment crust. The resulting surface forms a complex, rugged topography. A dense void of shadowy carbon-blacks and charcoal grays anchors the left quadrant, slowly opening up into a volatile, swirling cosmic landscape.

Naresh Soni, Based in my studio in Maninagar, Ahmedabad, India, my artistic journey is rooted in a rich lineage of creative excellence. Trained under the mentorship of my father, Babulal J. Soni, an internationally acclaimed artist, I absorbed foundational techniques and creative philosophies from an early age. I furthered this artistic foundation with a formal education from the Sheth CN College of Fine Arts and was recognized with an award from the Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy in 1991. For over thirty years, I have painted time. My career has bridged the sacred and the public, painting realistic devotional narratives on the ceilings and walls of temples across India, the UK, the USA, Nairobi, and South Africa, alongside major public commissions like the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Inter
